Jeff Levine

Jeffrey F. Levine, J.D., Ph.D., is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Sport Business at Drexel University, and leads the university’s new interdisciplinary Esport Business BSBA Program. He is also a core committee member of the LeBow College of Business’ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Action Group. His expertise focuses on the intersection of sport, law, and policy, as well as using sport, play, and esport as a tool to help facilitate human development and improve well-being.

Prior to academia, Jeff worked in the business and legal segments of the sport industry, as well as in private law practice. In addition to law practice, Jeff has worked for organizations such as the Arizona Coyotes, Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Dolphins, Fiesta Bowl Committee and the University of Michigan Athletic Department. Faculty stops include positions at Southern Illinois University, Northwestern University, Concordia University, Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, and serving as an adjunct professor at several law schools.

A metro Detroit native, Jeff graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and Communications, received a Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School with a certificate in sports law, and was awarded his Ph.D. in sport management from the University of Louisville. He is admitted to practice law in Arizona and Michigan, and is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association, the North American Society for Sport Management, the Sport and Recreation Law Association, and the USAID Learning Lab for Sport for Development and Peace.
